Takeaway's delivered a boost for research

IF there’s one way to curry favour with your favourite charity, it’s by making a donation.

And at the Bombay Mix Indian takeaway in Whitchurch, Cardiff the staff managed to get their customers to dip into their pockets and donate at the same time.

Proprietor Ajmol Ali saw a novel way of raising money for Cancer Research after a visit to the charity’s shop nearby.

“I wanted to do something for the charity because it has a shop in Whitchurch and because Velindre Hospital here does such good work,” he said.

“I told them I would donate half the cost of our £10 meal deal for every one sold during November and December. In the end we raised £375.”
